Celery City Cruisers Show, 2005

In the early hours of November 12th, 19 of our club members met and cruised their cars over to the Seminole county Historical Museum in Sanford. It's here that our hosts, the Celery City Cruisers, put on their 22nd annual car and truck show. The CCC club happily met us at registration about 9 AM. We quickly parked our cars and got them show ready. Judging began around 11 AM.

Everyone had a great time. Most of our members won a door prize or two. The hot dog guy made a lot of business from our members. Gerry Doucette said the "Polish dogs" were delicious. The ladies took time to walk over to the Big Top Flea Market to find some bargains while the guys tended to their car thing.

In the award department, Ed Fitzpatrick received a 2nd place trophy in the commercial class. John Novick won a tent. Terry Brandenberry won the 50 / 50 and our V V members won the $50 club participation award. On the lighter side of things, Jack Messemer won a facial and Gerry Doucette won a massage. In the tough luck arena, Jack Messemer had some valve problems with the freshly painted Malibu. This was its first shake down cruise. And, true to form for most of us, the Malibu had to be towed back home for repair. Also, Boh Bohannan had some tire issues and had to farm out his guests to limit the weight load. Boh will have to explain this one to you.

In all, it was a great club turnout and the CCC's really appreciated our participation.
