Destination Daytona Cruise, August 19, 2006

Nine cars showed up at the Scottsmoor gas station for the cruise to Ormand Beach and the Harley Davidson dealership.

Steve Amato, Joe Baldwin, Bill Craft, Ed Fitzpatrick, Donna & Jack Messemer, Amy & Ed Nenninger, John & Linda Novick, Bob & Joann Shearer, and Jack Valerio all drove their cars. The trip up US 1 was mostly uneventful except for the Daytona traffic. Jack DeMarco and Boh Bohannan who both came in their regular cars joined us at the cruise in.

After some parking difficulties, which were corrected after some heated discussions with management by Ed Fitzpatrick and John Novick, we ended up parking in front of the nice room we all chipped in on. The room came in real handy as it was very hot out and it gave us a place to freshen up and cool down.

 There were a lot more cars there this month compared to last month, it looks to be a large cruise in, but they have a long way to go to match New Smyrna and Old Town in doing it right.

 We all had a good time and got to see some nice different cars we hadn’t seen before.
