Old Business:
LETTER TO CHAMBER: Elaine Fitzwater has drafted a letter to Titusville Chamber of Commerce. The letter requests financial help for our car club to put on the car show for the Indian River Festival. Elaine was not present at this meeting, therefore, we were unable to hear what was written.
PERMISSION TO CHANGE BANK ACCOUNT: Robert Kelley makes a motion that the Indian River Car and Truck Show Account be changed to Car Show Account, Jack Messemer seconded, motion passed.
WARBIRD AIR AND CAR SHOW, March 17th: Dave Smart, our point man, informed the club of his meeting with the Valiant Air Command. The command informed Dave they want a maximum of 50 cars, not including our cars. Dave thinks he can get them up to 100 cars.
With much discussion throughout the evening, Dave Smart made a motion and Joe Baldwin seconded to do the Show, and it was passed .
Dave will make up 250 flyers, and the Valiant Air Command said we could get 100% of the gate, which is $20.00 per car with 2 people max. It will be an additional $15.00 per person over the 2 people per car limit, which goes to the Air Command. There will be NO dash plaques, awards or door prizes.
Also, the president requests anyone talking to someone involved with the Valiant Air Command or Warbird Show to treat him or her with respect.
The Budget for the Warbird Car Show will be $250.00, motion made by Robert Kelley, Dave Smart seconded, and passed except for Merv Imes , who opposed the motion.
