Website Report:                                                                      Bob Arnold

Nothing much to report, Dave and Ruth sent in some vacation pictures and Boh gave a link to an engine manufacturing site.

OLD BUSINESS:

CLUB LICENSE PLATES:  Dave Smart still has a few plates left, the newspapers the plates are wrapped in are turning yellow.  Members were trying to guess how old the papers were.

TURKEY ROD RUN:  Bob Arnold had some good news and some bad news.  The price was reduced to what we paid last year, $150.00 but there is some confusion to what they are going to charge, if anything it will be less that the $150.00.

The bad news is that we don’t have conformation on our parking yet, while everything is still being worked out.  If you get a registration in the mail from Daytona Street Rods don’t send it in until you have checked it out with Bob.

TOM STAGGS FUND:  Bob Arnold, chairman of the fund, said he is trying to set up the 501C endowment without getting an attorney involved to keep the costs down.

First we have to file as a state non-profit corporation, and that is what Bob is in the middle right now.  He will need a filing fee check for $87.50 and then once the check is sent, he will get some more forms.  By next month, we need three (3)Board of Trustees and a set of Officers for the fund.

After the state of Florida recognizes us as a 501C, we have to apply to the IRS.  The IRS is very stringent about the Board of Trustees and you are required to give your information including your social security number.  They want people that are responsible to handle the money.

So, you have to think about volunteering to be on the Board of Trustees.  The Officers do not have to give the same information.

CLUB MEETING:  We are still looking for a larger place to hold our meetings, please be on the lookout.  Let John Novick know if you have any ideas and he will send someone out to look at the place.

NEW BUSINESS:

SANFORD CAR SHOW:  Joe Baldwin is organizing a group to cruise through the woods, not to grandmother’s house, for the River Walk monthly Cruise In being held in Sanford the end of September.  If you are interested, please contact Joe.  Other members can get together through the use of the BB, if they want go directly to Sanford.

KARS FOR KIDS:  The Titusville Police Athletic League is having a car show August 4, 2007 and they will be giving out award such as, who’s

radio can put out the highest decibals.

GM OCTOBERFEST:  The car show is October 6, 2007 at Silver Springs.  The first 1000 cars registered get in FREE, it includes 2 passes to the park and each additional person pays approximately $18.00.   The registration form can be downloaded from our website under “Cruise’s and Car Shows”.   Fee for show will be on registration form.

Last year, some of our members attended and had a great time.

HORSE SISTERS CAR SHOW:  Their car show is set for the middle of September at Sandpoint Park, where we used to have our show.

Check out our website for more information on this show.

RAISING MONEY FOR TOM STAGG’S FUND:  Joan Amato motioned to have a 50/50 drawing each month at our Vintage Vehicle business meeting.   Fifty percent of the money would go towards the Tom Staggs Memorial Fund.  Mike Symon seconded the motion, and it passed unanimously.  Steve Amato will handle the 50/50 each month.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY PHONE NUMBERS:  Donna Messemer suggested that we add a space for an emergency phone number to our “Member Contact Info” list.  She thought it would be a good idea especially for our single members, but not exclusively to them.  So if you are interested, please send Bob Arnold your emergency person and their phone number.

Meeting Adjourned – 7:35 p.m.
