Old Town New Year's Eve Cruise, 12/31/05
Submit those photos (again)
Careful what you ask for. Tom Staggs sent us these photos from Saturday night's New Year's Eve Cruise at Old Town. He didn't want to submit the same car photos again. So, Tom, with the help of Jack Messemer decided to send the following pic's of a typical Old Town Cruise, minus the cars.
The Old Town New Year's Cruise was really cool. With all the tourists in town it made for a huge crowd of spectators. About 400 cars showed up for the party. Joe Baldwin and Orrin Swanson beat everyone over there, just ahead of Tom Staggs, Jack Messemer, Bill Craft and Bob Arnold. We parked in our usual area with our club banner proudly displayed. We quickly cleaned up the cars under the beautiful Florida weather and sat back to enjoy the end of the year. At the Blue Max, we had our friend, Anthony, serving us some great food as we watched the 5 o'clock cars enter trophy row. Right before the the actual cruise, Jack Messemer surprised us with some great appetizers consisting of fresh shrimp with a special sauce. Those deviled eggs were great and eventually proved dangerous. Thanks Donna M. for providing all of this great food. And, Jack looked really sweet with the serving apron you had him wear. It was a real treat. The cruise was fantastic and then we made our way to the bandstand for the door prize drawings. We watched as Tom won a free gift and then we made it over to the hot dog vendor for our traditional 'dog.' After all of this, we wished that New Year's eve would always land on an Old Town Saturday night.
