Old Town Cruise, Oct. 15, 2005

Only two of us made it over to Orlando for the Saturday Night Cruise. Met at the 528 toll booth and cruised over to Trophy Row next to the stage. The weather was FANTASTIC! You couldn't have asked for a better day. Over two hundred cars were in attendance. The spectator count was said to be a record breaker. So many people that you couldn't see the cars parked on the opposite side of the parking area during the peak evening hours. Lots of new cars and spectacular sights. Tom Staggs had the honor of driving Ken Brady from the 50's rock & roll band, the "Casinos" during the actual cruise. He was quite the character and his wife, Kat, was a real handful. Just ask Tom. Bob Arnold won a checkered flag with the T-bird. His first one after 2 1/2 years. Included with all the checkered flag stuff, Bob was also the winner of the $100 cruiser cash award and a gift certificate for dinner. He really needed this after going through all those carburetor hassles. Tom won a cool gift certificate for some gold jewelry from the Gold Store. Guess what Connie's getting for Christmas.  Their luck was never ending that day. What they should have done that night was buy a few lotto tickets.  They both went to dinner, where Tom and Bob were treated with DOUBLE sized meals courtesy of the Blue Max restaurant. And, when they came back to a full Trophy Road (check out the pic below), what's the odds of having identical model cars parked right next to their two cars. Especially the 442 convertible! Going back home with the two convertibles was great. The stars were unreal. The Old Town staff and their newsletter now refer to the V V members as the "Drop Your Top" gang. (Check out the unofficial newsletter here.) Gee, are these two guys that obvious?

Whoa, getting a little agressive with the mic there, Mike?

YES!, Bob wins the $100 bucks

Then, Bob wins a dinner certificate.

A fuelly they lit up on Trophy Row. Plug your ears!
